ECC draft Cycling Strategy consultation
ECC’s draft Cycling Strategy for the next ten years is currently out for consultation.
ECC says ‘We are looking to seek the views of Essex residents on how we can best achieve our vision of seeing more people cycle in Essex, more safely and more often.’
It is ambitious including plans to increase spending from £2 to £3 per head to £10 a head of population by 2025, plus commitments to Best Practice design and high quality, well planned cycle infrastructure.
Please share the strategy and accompanying survey with your organisation so that as many people as possible respond to the consultation and give their views.
CTPC and Cycle Colchester both intend to submit a response. It would be good if CTPC members could submit a corporate response too.
Please share your thoughts and comments with us and we will incorporate them into our response.
The deadline is the 30 October 2015.
