Get Bikewise

Colchester City Council and the Safer Colchester Partnership are relaunching the BikeWise campaign in partnership with Essex Police to provide the community with advice about the best way to park and lock their bike to deter thieves.

  • Only £1 to park throughout January, February and March 2024 at the Secure Bike Park, thereafter £1 a day or season tickets available Colchester Secure Bike Park (spokesafe.com)
  • Free Police-recognised BikeRegister bike marking and registration by the Colchester Bike Kitchen
  • The police will be grading parked bikes from the 26th January 2024, leaving a tag which will tell the user how securely they have parked their bike, what improvements they could make and grading the quality of their lock.
  • The BikeWise webpage has been updated with additional information Bikewise | Safer Colchester Partnership
  • We will also be adding stickers to Sheffield racks around the City Centre directing people to further advice

Would your organisation like to get involved?
